Abstract

Consumption represents a process that differs from person to person and from product to product. The act of depletion basically means ending, and when considered economically, it means ending the need. In this respect, especially considering the differentiation in food consumption in the last two hundred years, determining how the need to eat occurs and what is affected by it is important for many disciplines, especially health, economics, marketing, anthropology and tourism. In this context, the nature of eating and how it is consumed away from home as a modern habit have been tried to be understood. In addition, specifically, ıt was determined that social groups, which are considered as an important factor in the formation of consumption behavior, have an effect on food choice and whether this effect differs between consumer groups.
