Abstract

In the study, Adapazarı wetting meatball and cranberry must have been evaluated on the basis of cultural value and geographical indication registration. Interviews were made with the oldest five wetting meatball firms among the food and beverage businesses in Adapazarı, which were selected with the purposeful sampling method, and the customers, who have been customers of these firms for years and aged 62-82, about cranberry must and Islama meatball. As a result of the study, it has been determined that the wetting meatball is an identical product with Adapazarı, the wetting meatball has preserved its traditional features and attracted serious gastro tourists from outside the city. On the other hand, it was understood that the cranberry must offered next to wetting meatballs is no longer in their menus and is an intangible cultural heritage that has been forgotten. It has been concluded that the importance of the cranberry must is not sufficiently utilized while the probiotic properties of other beverages such as boza or turnip come to the fore. Cranberry must be one of the important findings that should be made more visible in the probiotic drinks list.
