In this study, it is aimed to determine the learning styles of open education tourism students and how effectively e-learning tools are used by the students. The research was designed quantitatively, and online-survey technique was utilized. Descriptive statistics, factor analysis and importance-performance (importance-satisfaction) analysis were used to analyze the data. The findings of the research determined that open education tourism students attach similar level of importance to "literacy", "visual", "kinesthetic" and "auditory" learning styles. The results of the research present important findings about paying attention to the "visual" and "auditory" learning tools of tourism programs that provide open and distance education. For learning management systems developed in open and distance education institutions; it is recommended to create a e-learning environment that allows students to interact among themselves and with instructors, to answer students' questions, to provide a more effective service with multimedia support, and to design interactive learning contents.
