Determination of The Hotel Selection Criteria with the multi-criteria Decision- Making Methods and The Best Ideal Hotel Selection: An Application on the 4 Star Hotels in Ordu Province Center

Abstract

In this research, the ideas of hotel business managers of Ordu province were taken by using multi criteria decision making methods. With these methods, it is aimed to determine the most ideal four-star hotel selection by determining hotel selection criteria. In order to support these studies and provide guidance, the hotel managers in the province of Ordu have been applied to determine the hotel selection criteria through multi-criteria decision-making methods. Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) and MAUT methods were used as research method. With the determination of the criteria that are effective in the selection of hotels, Ordu Province has been selected as the most ideal hotel among four-star hotels. In accordance with the ethical principles, the names of the hotel and hotel managers were conducted without any work. The main criteria used in hotel selection are listed in order of importance with the help of analysis. The results are important in terms of specifying the criteria that are effective on the choice of hotel for 4-star hotel managers and other hotel businesses in Ordu. It is thought that these criteria will guide the hotel business managers and will be useful in their business.
