Abstract
The main aim of this study is to provide knowledge and predict the role of both recreational activity participation level and life satisfaction on the academic sufficiency level. To fulfill this aim, a quantitative approach based on questionnaire form as a data acquisition method was adopted, and consecutive regression analyzes were performed to scrutinize three hypotheses derived from the extant literature. As a result of the analyses performed on the data gained from 303 undergraduate students from three different fields (tourism, engineering, and sport sciences), it was concluded that life satisfaction, as well as recreational activity participation level, have a significant and positive effect on academical sufficiency. Also, the recreational activity participation level was seen to have a significant positive impact on academic sufficiency. Theoretical and managerial implications for the various segments of relevant sectors were discussed in the conclusion.
