Reviewing Nature-Based Tourism Participants’ Environmental Attitudes

Abstract
The aim of this research is to investigate the environmental paradigm (human or nature oriented) of nature-based tourism participants by using New Ecological Paradigm and to determine the most preferred nature-based tourism type. Questionnaire method was utilized on this quantitative research. The population of the research includes the participants of nature-based tourism. The sample size is 285 participants by using convenience sampling method. Data was analyzed by descriptive statistics, exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis, variance analysis (anova) and t test. Results of the study show that scale has four dimensions and mean value of the participants is 4,13. According to the results, nature-based tourism participants have relatively high nature-based attitude. Moreover, participants do not vary according to their gender and marital status but have different attitudes according to their age, education level and participation status.
