The Relationship between Academic Motivation, Scientific Research Self-Efficacy and Anxiety Related Research: A Research on Graduate Tourism Students

Abstract

The aim of this study is to determine the level of scientific research self-efficacy, anxiety related research and academic motivation of the graduate students and the relationship between these variables. For this purpose, a questionnaire was applied to the graduate students. 330 useable questionnaires were analyzed. According to the results of the analysis, it was found that there is a positive relationship between scientific research self-efficacy and academic motivation, number of studies conducted and foreign language level; and a negative relationship between academic motivation and anxiety related research. As a result of the study, it was determined that the students' anxiety related research, academic motivation and scientific research self-efficacy showed significant differences in terms of demographic characteristics. In the light of the results, various suggestions were made to the students and their advisors.
