The Effect of Economic and Technologic Dimension of Globalization on Turkish Cuisine

Abstract
Globalization is a phenomenon in today's world that has multidimensional effects on societies, including economic, technological, cultural, environmental, and educational dimensions. With this perspective in mind, this study was conducted to determine the impact of the economic and technological dimensions of globalization on the perception of Turkish cuisine. Data were obtained from participants from Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, France, and Greece who visited Istanbul. A quantitative research method was employed in the study. The research results indicate that the perception of the economic impact of globalization differs according to gender and education variables, with men having a more positive perception compared to women, and associate degree graduates having a more positive perception compared to bachelor's and high school graduates. Based on the nationality variable, it was found that there is a statistically significant difference in the perception of "the impact of the economic and technological dimensions of globalization on Turkish cuisine" among the participants. German and Austrian visitors have a more positive perception of Turkish cuisine, whereas Greeks have the most negative perception. Among these nationalities, the French have the most positive perception of economic and technological globalization, with Germans having the most positive perspective on the economic impact of globalization.
