A Study on the Experience of Tourists Visiting Yeşilova Salda

Abstract

Nowadays, with the widespread use of internet and smart phones, individuals get more information about the travels they want to make or about the destinations they want to see and they find opportunities to share their experiences with other individuals. This situation affects the purchasing behavior of the people visiting the region positively or negatively. In this study, it is aimed to analyze 708 visitor comments about Yeşilova Salda Lake on TripAdvisor.com by content analysis method. For this purpose, the comments are divided into categories and subcategories. In addition, direct quotations from the comments made by the visitors were included. As a result of the analyzes, it was observed that the tourists visiting the region had positive experiences in terms of the natural structure of the tourists visiting the region depends on the natural characteristics of the region and the lake, health tourism opportunities emerging the characteristics of water and mud in the lake, highly regreative activities, positive attitude of local people, very close to the provinces that attract tourists geographical location and many gastronomic products made locally; it was found that tourists had negative experience in environmental problems due to exceeding carrying capacity, infrastructure such as drainage, road, telecommunication and superstructure such as eating and drinking, accommodation, exreme and unrealistic information and perceived service quality of service emerging lack of service.
