In Terms of Disabled Tourism of Sapanca District Accessibility: A Study on Local People's Perspective

Abstract
The disabled population is increasing day by day with the increase in the general population and the inclusion of the elderly population, which increases with the prolongation of human life. This situation makes disabled tourism a potential that cannot be underestimated for all tourism stakeholders. In this context, the study aims to measure the perspective and perception level of the local people towards disabled tourism. In this context, accessible tourism infrastructure in Sapanca county of Sakarya and standards and practices for disabled people that should be brought to tourism businesses have been tried to be examined from the perspective of the local people. In this study, which was designed as a quantitative research method, the data were collected with the questionnaire technique and the analysis was carried out with the SPSS program. As a result; It has been understood that the local people are sensitive to disabled people, but they do not have enough information about the regulations for disabled tourism.
